New Years Eve

today I look back upon 2009
remembering the good times
and also the very hard and sad times
each memory I take with me into the brand new year
with a heart and spirit filled with faith, humbleness, and most of all, love.

I wish my family and my friends many blessings in 2010
and as I say goodbye to 2009 I do so with gratitude for this life of mine
and with all my heart I wish you all...a very Happy New Year!

Cancer Strikes

not the first time down this path
but it's by far the scariest
I find such comfort through the love of my family and my friends

I find strength through my faith and through the words from others
who like myself find themselves seeking refuge from the storm
accepting that lightning has struck and we must find the means to endure.

HALLOWEEN

I do not fear
the ghosts, witches, nor vampires
that may walk the streets tonight

It is only the inner demons , I must admit,
that sometimes cause me fright.

Dear Mama

Dear Mama
today marks three years since you returned to Heaven.
My heart aches to see your smile, to hear your voice, to feel the touch of your gentle hand.
Each day I pray that you hear these words...
I miss you, I love you, and I am forever proud to be your daughter.

We Are

We are not here to judge one another
we are here to believe in, learn from, teach
comfort, encourage
to respect and to honor

We are all unique individuals
separate yet deeply connected
each a powerful confirmation of infinite grace

Angelic forces
dwelling in vessels of human form.

Younger Years

Allowing our daughter to fly freely
is a difficult task
balancing on a tightrope of responsibility...
wanting her to enjoy being a teenager
and have adventures with her friends
yet instill within her the understanding that for each action
there is a reaction.

We look back upon our younger years
with an understanding of how she feels
and hope somehow to find a common ground
between good choices and good times.

Vessels

We must realize
that we are all vessels
allowing wisdom and spiritual enlightenment
to reach many different shores

We must give little matter to shape, color, or age of the vessel
for each shall endure
no matter how turbulent the storms
until the journey is over

Reaching the far corners of the world and soul
...finally transformed from vessel to
Angels of Grace.

Eternal Circle

Time passing
intertwined forever in motion
souls touching earth
some soft like a gentle rain
others with force of a falling comet

Every life to fulfill a special purpose
some seemingly simple
others profoundly complex
each relevant
each vital to the eternal circle.

Garden

We are the blossoms
existing in an imperfect
yet beautiful garden...
forever reaching towards Heaven.

Connected

Everything and everyone
is relevant
all things connected
each having the power to enrich
or destroy.

Choice

Placed upon this earth
for only a short span
the way in which we spend our time
is truly important

Each with limitless potential
we can choose simply to exist
or to live extraordinary lives.

Blind

To see one another
with only the human eye
is to know only partial vision

To be unable to look within ourselves
and others is to truly be blind.

angelic quilts
sewn by the hand of the Divine

The Couple

Their hands so gracefully joined
his so strong, hers so delicate

Together , through love, they grasp the world
with heart and soul

no longer alone, eternally one.

Life

Be careful not to spend
so much time thinking about the past
or worrying about the future
that you neglect the blessings of the present.
