This Time Last Year

This time last year
I first noticed a lump
in my right breast
I tried to ignore it

As it continued to grow
I knew I could no longer ignore it
and so began my battle with Cancer

The journey has been long
and difficult
but I have been amazed at the strength and compassion
from all those involved
the Doctors, nurses, patients, all a special part of me now

The road I have had to follow
has been made easier through the endless love
of family and friends

This time last year I found myself in a dark place
and now I find myself surrounded in light, and in hope.

I am so thankful for the prayers and the love
and I thank God for each moment of my life.
